Abstract

1,191,201. Amine salts of diene rubber polymers. SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ N.V. 4 Feb., 1969 [6 Feb., 1968], No. 5821/69. Addition to 1,141,558. Heading C3P. The reaction product of a conjugated diene rubber and maleic anhydride having a bound maleic anhydride content of 2-22% by weight is partially or completely neutralized by a non- elastomeric homo- or copolymer bearing tertiary amine groups. In the examples the rubber is polybutadiene or polyisoprene and the polymer is a styrene-vinyl pyridine copolymer.
