Abstract

1,190,889. Printing processes. TRENTESAUX-TOULEMONDE S.A. 24 July, 1968 [24 July, 1967], No. 35312/68. Heading B6C. [Also in Division C3] A printed support, e.g. paper or aluminium foil, carries on at least one surface a coloured print obtained by means of one or more dyestuffs selected from 1,4-dimethylainino anthraquinone, 1-hydroxy-3-phenoxy-4-amino anthraquinone, hydroxyquinophthalone, the butyl or propyl ester of 1,4-diamino anthraquinone-2- carboxylic acid and 4-(4<SP>1</SP>-methyl- 2<SP>1</SP>-nitrophenyl - azo)-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone, together with at least one binder which is soluble in organic solvent and does not become sticky below 250‹ C. Specified binders are nitro-, ethyl-, benzyl-, hydroxyethyl- and hydroxypropylcelluloses. In examples, engraved rollers are used to apply one or more coatings of the dyestuff-binder composition above in isopropanol, methyl ethyl ketone or a mixture thereof with alcohol.
