Electro-photographic ZnO materials bearing a fixed image are converted to lithographic printing plates by (1) wetting with an aqueous solution of Al formate or acetate, and (2) drying. The solution preferably also contains ethanol and a polyhydric alcohol (e.g. ethylene glycol or glycerin).
