Abstract

1,190,678. Silver halide materials. E.I. DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO. May 10, 1968 [May 17, 1967], No.22434/68. Heading G2C. Silver halide materials contain in a non- photo-sensitive layer a sensitizer of formula: wherein R 1 - 4 are each H, C 1-4 alkyl or aryl. The sensitizers may be incorporated in, for example, an undercoat, filter, anti-halation or anti-abrasion layer, which may additionally contain hardeners. Preferred sensitizers are L-thiazolidines in which R 1-4 are all H or CH 3 . Comparative examples using a sensitizer in a silver halide layer or developer are also given.
