Abstract
118,949. Brown, C., and Brown & Barlow. Nov. 21, 1917. Measuring-apparatus.-In apparatus for measuring the flow of liquids, the liquid passes from a constant level supply tank b through a pipe a and calibrated orifice e to a pipe c to which is connected a glass tube d, adjoining a scale h, and an outlet f, with a cock g. On the outlet side of the cock g, an air escape valve may be fitted, and also an adapter to receive a jet the size of which is to be measured. The tube c may also be provided with an aperture leading to a calibrated orifice, by using which the position of the scale h may be correctly adjusted. Between the outlet f and the apparatus in which the liquid is to be used, an air chamber may be fitted.
