[Also in Division F1] In pumping apparatus comprising gear pumps 1, 2, the driving shafts 9, 10 are splined and connected to each other by splined rings 12, 13 and shear pins 15, which fail when the torque becomes excessive. The rings may be aligned with each other by a spigot 14.
