Abstract

1,188,590. Casting processes; moulds. EUROPEAN ATOMIC ENERGY COMMUNITY. 10 July, 1967 [25 July, 1966], No. 31689/67. Heading B3F. [Also in Divisions C7 and G6] In order to obtain rapid solidification an Al-Nb alloy (see Division C7) melt is poured into a cylindrical copper mould with a diameter of 200 mm. and a height of 300 mm. in which a diametrical slot 3 mm. wide and 100 mm. long is formed as the mould cavity.
