Abstract

118,828. Automatic Telephone Manufacturing Co., and Remington, C. Feb. 22, 1918. Mine signalling systems; order apparatus.-In a mine signalling system, the " raise " and " stop " signals are separately controlled by the first controlling-impulse by providing one of the cancelling- relays of the system described in Specification 118,330 with an additional armature and contacts so arranged that the " raise " signal is energized when the winding-engine is at rest and the " stop " signal when the engine is in motion. In the arrangement shown, the " raise " signal LR and the stop " signal LS are controlled by the relay 5 and the additional armature 82 of a cancelling-relay 18. When the dynamo 20, driven by the winding-engine, is at rest, the relay 18 is de-energized and the armature 82 engages its back contact 81, so that when the relay 5 is energized, the " rise " signal LR is energized. When the dynamo 20 is in motion, the armature 82 engages its front contact, so that when the relay 5 is energized, the " stop " signal LS is energized.
