Distant-control systems.-A system of distant control without additional line wires designed to prevent sparking at the distant apparatus has an electromagnet A permanently connected across the line at the distant end operating a commutator switch C while the circuit is open at the near end. The opening of the switch B releases the armature G, which falls away by its own weight and causes the lever D to step round the commutator switch C so that a lever F carried by a second gravitycontrolled armature H makes contact alternately with the conducting-portion J and the insulating- portions I.
