Abstract

1,183,774. Bearings. EATON YALE & TOWNE Inc. 12 June, 1968 [1 Aug., 1967], No. 27942/68. Heading F2A. [Also in Division F1] In a reciprocatory-piston compressor, a double-acting piston 42 is driven by an eccentric 86 engaging with a transversely-slidable block 84, distribution of lubricant e.g. oil, issuing from passages 128 being rendered by intersecting grooves 130 in the faces of the block abutting bearing surfaces 134 in the piston. The passages 128 receive the lubricant from a bore 126 in the eccentric by way of an annular channel 136 in the block adjacent the eccentric.
