Abstract

1,182,962. Fork lift trucks. TSENTRALNOE KONSTRUKTORSKOE BJURO PROEKTIROVANIA ELEKTROPOGRUZCHIKOV. 16 Aug., 1967, No. 37702/67. Heading B8H. In a fork lift truck 1 provided with a threesection mast 2, the forks 13 and the mast are respectively raised by the first and second stages of a two-stage hydraulic ram 14 disposed between the lower and intermediate sections 3, 4 of the mast. A cable 23 fixed at one end to the fork carriage 12 and at the other end to the lower section 3 successively passes around a pulley 24 mounted at the upper end of the upper section 5 and a pulley 25 mounted on the intermediate sleeve 16 of the ram 14. A further cable 21 fixed at one end to the lower end of the upper section 5 and at the other end to the lower section 3 passes around a pulley 22 on the outer sleeve 19 of the ram which in turn is fixed to the intermediate mast section. On pressurization of the first stage of the ram the pulley 25 moves downwards and through cable 23 raises the fork carriage 12 and on pressurization of the second stage the intermediate section 4 is raised which simultaneously raises the upper section 5 through the cable 2.
