C. engine piston comprises a piston body having a plurality of combustion chamber surfaces, as described a three-sided planetarily rotatable piston having combustion chamber surfaces in each of its three sides, in which the axial width b 2 , Fig. 2 of the piston near the centre of each surface is less than the width b 1 near the ends of the surface, resulting in slightly concave end faces of the piston. This avoids convex end faces that would otherwise result from excessive heat expansion if the end faces were made flat with possible seizure of the piston in its housing.
