Abstract

[Also in Division F4] A tea or coffee pot or jug for hot liquid comprises an inner metal pot or jub supported by means of heat insulating spaces inside a metal body so that there is no metal-to-metal contact, a spout extending from the inner body to the outer body and made of material of low heat conductivity and a handle attached to the outer body. The outer body may be provided with a hinged lid, which may have a slab of heat insulating material fixed to its underside by a metal disc. The pot may be provided with a plastics spout which may be surrounded by a metal spout on the outer body. The pot may be supported in the outer body by an annular fillet of insulating material around the rim and a circular pad of insulating material under its base, which pad is held in position by a metal plate by means of a screw through the bottom of the outer body.
