Abstract
1392630 Containers MARK PERKS Ltd 20 June 1973 [17 June 1972] 28457/72 Heading A4A [Also in Division F4] A teapot comprises an outer metal container 11 enclosing an inner metal container 10, the containers 10, 11 being generally cup shaped and having no metal to metal contact between them, and securing means 17, 18 capable of drawing the inner container 10 towards the bottom of the outer container 11. An annular member 15 of nylon or polypropylene separates flanges 12, 14 on the containers 10, 11 respectively and inhibits relative lateral movement of the container 10. The securing means consists of a metal screw thread stud 17 and a nylon or polypropylene nut 18. The space between the containers 10, 11 may be evacuated or filled with an insulating fluid or foamed polyurethane. A lid 35 is hingedly fixed on the container 11 and includes an insulating disc 41 and a metal disc 38. A handle 28 is secured to the container 11 by a nut 33 prevented from rotation by means of a square section bar 30 engaging tabs 34 on a washer 32. The spout 19 consists of a spout member 24 resting on an outer tube 23 and joined by an insulating tube 26 to an inner tube 22. The container 11 is formed in two parts secured together at an overlap joint.
