Abstract

1,180,392. Pipe couplings. BTR INDUSTRIES Ltd. 5 May, 1967 [11 May, 1966], No. 20951/66. Heading F2G. A lined pipe or pipe coupling 13, extending through a hole 12 in a plate or tube 10 and the lining 11 thereof, has an external flange 15 around which the lining 14 is turned to abut against the lining 11, and the flange is pressed, as by a nut 16 screwed on to the pipe or coupling 13, towards the plate or tube so that the two linings are gripped together. The pipe or coupling may have a flange 18 screwed thereon.
