Abstract
1,180,024. Cleaning metals. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. April 17, 1967 [May 31, 1966], No.24223/66. Heading C7E. Copper deposits are removed from e. g. melt spinning apparatus using an aqueous solution pH 6 to 10 of an ammonium salt of an inorganic acid, e.g. ammonium carbonate, diammonium hydrogen or triammonium phosphate. Sodium nitrate may also be added. The temperature of the solution is suitably at least 80 C.
