Abstract

1,179,232. Stair carpet fasteners. VELVADEX PLASTICS Ltd. 10 Feb., 1967 [9 Feb., 1966], No. 5756/66. Heading A4U. In a stair carpet fastener, strip-like parts 12, secured by screws 14 to a tread 13 and riser 20, each have a resilient part 16 provided with longitudinally extending ribs 17 to retain the fold of the carpet. The fastener is preferably a synthetic plastics extrusion of right angular section forming a recess 18, bounded by the parts 16, and into which the fold is pressed. In a modification a single rib is provided on each. part 16.
