1,179,139. Stabilizing coupled vehicles. OTTO RIEHLE, STUTTGART. 12 Oct., 1967, No. 46634/67. Heading B7T. A stabilizing arrangement which damps or prevents yawing and pitching and twisting or rolling of a trailer 5 coupled to a motor vehicle 1 comprises two hydraulic vibration dampers 7 each articulated to the vehicle 1 forwards of the ball-and-socket coupling 3, 6 and to the trailer 1 at least at one of the articulation points of each damper being above or below the horizontal plane 8 through the ball-and-socket coupling 3, 6. The dampers 7 are pivoted to the vehicle about a transverse horizontal axis and vertical axes, and to the trailer 5 about vertical axes only.
