Abstract

1,178,753. Yarn texturing jet. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. 23 April, 1968 [10 May, 1967], No. 21672/67. Heading D1F. An intermingling jet comprises a bore 5 for the passage of yarn and at least one pair of associated gas inlets leading into the bore. One of the inlets 9 is directed radially into the bore and the other inlet 11 is directed tangentially into the bore to emerge at a location substantially adjacent to the location of emergence of the radial inlet. There may be two such pairs of jets disposed opposite each other (as shown), see also Figs. 2a and 2b. With two pairs of jets the tangential inlets may be dispersed to act in vortical assistance or in vortical opposition to each other. A yarn threading slot (13) may be provided to lead to bore 5, see Fig. 3, not shown.
