Abstract

1,178,682. Bearings. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORP. 31 Jan., 1967 [14 Dec.. 1965], No. 52970/65. Heading F2A. A crosshead bearing comprises a pin 13 freely rotatable in bearing surfaces 4, 8. Bearing members 3, 7 each have a bearing layer of white metal containing oil grooves 9. Member 3 is integral with block 2 which is attached to piston-rod 5 and guided by plate 1. Bearing member 7 is secured to connecting rod 10, and to keep members 12. Plates 14 are secured to the ends of the pin to restrict its axial movement.
