Abstract
1,178,647. Mechanical switches. WESTFALISCHE METAL INDUSTRIE K.G. HUECK & CO. 30 May, 1968 [7 June, 1967], No. 26033/68. Heading H1N. A pivoted tubular arm 1 for actuating a switch 14 in a motor vehicle carries an axially displaceable handle 7 connected by a forcetransmitting cable 13 to close auxiliary switch contacts 17, 18 fixedly mounted in the body of the switch 14. The handle 7 has a threaded end cap 10 which is yieldingly urged by spring 5 to hold a step 8 of the handle 7 against a flanged sleeve 4 fixed to the end of the arm 1. The cable 13 is located in the end cap 10 by a plate 11 engaging an enlarged end 12 of the cable 13. Movement of the cable 13 is transmitted to a spring contact 17 through an enlarged end 15 slidable in a bore 16 of a pivot 20 for the arm 1.
