Abstract

1,177,461. Cleaning drawing frames. SCHUBERT & SALZER MASCHINENFABRIK A.G. 11 April, 1968 [14 April, 1967], No. 17509/68. Headings D1F and D1N. Fluff and dust arising between drawing rollers 1 and trumpet guide 6 is removed by suction from device 9 arranged beneath a fleece channel 4 mounted between the rollers and guide for compressing the fleece. The trumpet guide 6 is inserted in the raised front wall 91 of the suction device, e.g. by a bayonet catch, the exterior of the front wall holding a cleaning lip 10 for the calender rollers 5. The fleece channel is adjustable in height, and the preceding fleece nozzle 3 is pivotally mounted. The suction device 9 is funnel shaped and its mouth extends the entire length of channel 4, a hinged cover 41 limiting the air flow in the upwards direction.
