[Also in Division B3] An indexing mechanism, e.g. for a rotary table of a machine tool, comprises a spring- loaded latch 3 with wedge-shaped projections 3a, 3b engaging V-shaped slots in a support member 4 and the periphery of the rotor 1. Alternatively, the latch may be formed with V-shaped slots co-operating with a wedge on the support and ribs on the face of the rotor. Fig. 3 (not shown).
