Abstract

1276032 Fastenings STAEDTLER & UHL 4 Feb 1970 [8 Feb 1969 17 Jan 1970] 5300/70 Heading E2B [Also in Division D1] Needle supports c are releasably fastened to a cylindrical segment having axial grooves or recesses b in its external surface. The needle supports c are held in the grooves or recesses by a clamping strip f and the groove and/or the clamping strip is wedge-shaped in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the segment. Pairs of needle supports may be clamped in a single groove having a step on one of its side faces (Fig. 7, not shown). The clamping strip may be rigid and screwed to the segment (Fig. 2, not shown) or it may be resilient, e.g. it can have springy flanges, inserts or coverings. The cylindrical segment is mounted in a textile machine.
