Abstract

1,176,643. Greenhouses. WIGGINLOFT Ltd. 20 Jan., 1967 [14 Jan., 1966; 22 Feb., 1966], Nos. 1866/66 and 7639/66. Headings E1A and E1R. [Also in Division A1] A greenhouse comprises an assembly of wooden framing members 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, sheets of polythene A, B, C, D, E, F secured thereto by laths 15, 16, some of the laths being prefixed to the sheets and others being fixed during securing in the frame, and a resilient bridging member 20 extending across each frame and bowing the polythene sheeting out of the plane of its frame. The bowing member may be resilient wood secured in slots in the frame or it may be a rigid based member with resilient rubber pads. The greenhouse is held down on a block floor 2 by guy ropes. The tensioning of panels of a horticultural frame is similarly effected (Figs. 4-6). In further embodiments (Figs. 11 and 12) a single sheet of flexible material is used to cover several adjacent panels.
