Abstract

1,176,608. Road marker studs. E. H. KONE. 1 April, 1968, No. 15564/68. Heading E1G. A road stud comprises a base cup 12 closed by a spring-loaded resilient diaphragm 22 carrying a reflector or other indicator 14, the diaphragm comprising a central portion surrounded by a preformed U-section portion 60. On depression of the indicator 14 by a vehicle wheel the portion 60 is flexed upwardly (Fig. 3, not shown) with a snap action giving audible warning. The circular diaphragm shown has a backing disc 56 and parallel ribs 52 locating an apertured holder 38-50 for a rectangular plastics lens 36.
