Abstract
1,016,215. Attaching indicia. UNITEDCARR Inc. April 29, 1963 [May 21, 1962], No. 16789/63. Heading G5C. [Also in Division E2] An ornamental device for attachment to an apertured support 3 comprises a moulded body 1 (Fig. 2) provided with one or more snap fastener studs 2, each stud comprising a base 5 extending into a recess 4 in the body and yieldable legs 6, 7 extending from the base to engage an aperture 12 in the support 3, the stud being secured in the recess by portions of the body engaging the base. The body may be an injection moulding of synthetic plastic and metallized, and the stud may be a single piece of spring metal. The legs 6, 7 may be of equal length. The body of the device may form a single letter or numeral or a whole word, emblem or insignia, and may have at least two studs (Fig. 3, not shown). Such devices are applicable to decoration of motor vehicle bodies.
