Abstract

[Also in Divisions F4 and H1] In an electrically ignited gas-fuelled cigarette lighter a rechargeable accumulator forms part of the lighter and consists of the bottom of the metal inner wall 3 of the fuel tank a layer 7 of sintered cadmium or other oxidizing agent, a separator 9, a layer 8 of sintered nickel hydroxide or another reducing agent and the bottom of the metal outer wall 4, a contact pin 31 being conductively secured to wall 3. A recharging means 32 has a hub part 34 to co-operate with pin 31, terminals 36, 37 for connection to a mains supply and a conventional rectifier circuit comprising a diode 41, a resistor 42 and a capacitor 43.
