Abstract

1,175,457. Child's bib. GOUJON (PAPER TOGS) Ltd. 29 April, 1968 [1 May, 1967; 3 July, 1967], Nos. 20103/67 and 30618/67. Heading A3V. A bib 1 of paper or non-woven bonded fibre material is provided with an adhesive 2 adjacent the neck portion 3. The bib is made from a continuous roll of the material by applying a paper covered adhesive strip at predetermined intervals then cutting the web to form substantially rectangular pieces and stamping out the neck portions 3. In one embodiment perforations 6 form a tongue portion 7 the end of which may be stuck to the adhesive or inserted in two slits 8. In another embodiment (Fig. 1 not shown) an adhesive strip extends from each side of the neck opening to the edge of the bib and the tongue is omitted, the bib being retained in position by the adhesive adhering to the child's clothing. The material may comprise two layers of tissue paper with a layer of a waterproof plastics material sandwiched between them. Alternatively a layer of absorbent material may be substituted for one of the tissue paper layers.
