1,175,305. Cartridge cases. V. DE GREGORIO. 23 Feb., 1968 [27 Feb., 1967], No. 8959/68. Heading F3A. Cartridge cases for shotguns are made by forcing a powder container 2 into one end of a plastics or paperboard tube 1, inserting the assembly in a metallic head 6, drawing the head to decrease the diameter of its cylindrical part, and folding the head to form an extraction rim in which a rim 3 on the powder container and a rim 1<SP>1</SP> on the tube are embedded. The rim 1<SP>1</SP> on the tube is formed during the drawing operation, or when the rim 3 of the powder container is forced against the bottom end of the tube.
