A rotatable surface aerating centrifuge comprises a plurality of members 16 each having a web portion 32 and an integral blade portion 18, bolted together to form an inverted pyramidal web having blades extending along its outer surface. The device is braced by plates 38, 40 the former of which carries a hub 42 for the drive shaft.
