1,173,219. Tables. D. M. JAMES. 29 Aug., 1968 [5 Oct., 1967], No. 45604/67. Heading A4H. The leg of a table comprises the two limbs 4, 5 of a U-shaped rod and a limb 6 welded to the base of the U-shaped rod so as to lie in the plane of the U, and the ends of the two limbs 4, 5 are bent inwardly and pivotally disposed in the ends of a tube 8 secured to the undersurface of the table top, and the upper end of the limb 6 has a projection 9 which snaps into an aperture 10 in the rim 1 of the top. The upper end of the limb 6 also has a lug 11 which rides over the rim 1 when the table is being erected. The projection 9 also engages the base of the U-shaped rod 4, 5 of the leg of a superposed table when tables are stacked one above the other.
