Abstract

1,172,135. Alkali metal cleaning agents. HENKEL & CIE G.m.b.H. 14 April, 1967 [16 April, 1966], No. 17156/67. Heading C5D. [Also in Division C7] Alkali metal cleaning agents in solid form, which are stable on storage and have little foaming power, contain fine grained caustic alkali with a grain size of less than 3 mm. diameter and a reaction product of propylene oxide with an aliphatic polyalcohol containing more than 3 hydroxyl groups in the molecule, the turbity point of the said reaction product lying between 15‹ and 60‹ C. Other optional additives include ortho phosphates, polymeric phosphates, silicates, soda, potash, glutonates, sodium sulphate and further alkali-stable wetting agents, such as alkyl or alkylaryl sulphonates.
