Abstract

1,171,231. Hooks; remotely controlled fastenings. G. G. PARACHUTE CO. Ltd. 18 July, 1968 [16 Aug., 1967], No. 37675/67. Heading E2A. A releasable connector comprises a body (12) which carries a plurality of arms 11 on which rings or the like can be carried, which arms engage apertures or recesses in bell crank levers 13 connecting the arms 11 with trigger mechanisms 14 which when operated allow the bell crank levers 13 to rotate to release the rings or the like from the arms. As shown, each trigger is pivoted about a rod 21 and carries a spring loaded plunger 25 which biasses an end 27 of the trigger into engagement with a locking plunger 35 in a housing 29 to maintain engagement between a part 23 on the trigger and a part 24 on the associated arm. Downward movement of the plunger 35 by manually or other operated means against a spring loaded plunger 32, releases the triggers and frees the parts 24.
