Abstract

1,170,337. Stands. J. SVOBODA and R. SVOBODA. 13 March, 1967 [11 March, 1966; 29 April, 1966], No. 11705/67. Heading A4H. [Also in Division B6] A stand comprising two frames 1 for suspended folders 2 or trays, connected together by a parallelogram linkage comprising rods 3 pivoted at their mid points to a cross beam 4 on a stand 6. The frames can be set in vertical alignment or displaced therefrom into positions on either side of a vertical plane. The rods 3 are connected in pairs by bars 7 forming handles. The frames are held in the two positions by the rods 3 springing into grooves 11 in plates 8 on the cross beams 4. The plates 8 may have projections (24) (Figs. 6, 7) instead of grooves and may be adjusted to stiffen the action of the rods 3 by means of a screw (19). The plate 8 may be secured to the cross beam 4 by a central threaded pin (30) and a further offset threaded pin (32) (Figs 8-10). The plate 8 may be replaced by a bracket (33) (Figs. 11, 12) having domed threaded pins (35) which engage the rods 3.
