1,167,398. Measuring temperature electrically; measuring bridge circuits. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC CORP. July 25, 1967 [Oct.12, 1966], No. 34159/67. Headings G1N and G1U. A D.C. resistance bridge 12 Fig.1 for measuring temperature using a temperature sensitive resistor 40, has its unbalance voltage fed to an amplifier 50 whose output current I o is fed through a shunt circuit including a resistor 44 in one branch of the bridge, whereby a change in temperature changes the input voltage and output current of amplifier 50 until a balanced condition is restored, and the output current I o is them proportional to the value of resistor 40 and the temperature it is sensing.
