Abstract

116,725. Richards, D. L. June 4, 1917, [Convention date]. Plug cocks.-A plug cock 3 for a filter is so arranged that, when filtered liquid is required, the liquid is passed through the filter, but that when filtering is unnecessary the liquid flows through a by-pass direct to the outlet. The filter is attached to a pipe by a union 1 containing a plug-cock 3 having two passages, one of which 21 communicates directly with the outlet 20, the other, 23, leading to a chamber 6, the bottom of which is formed by a dished filtering-plate 7.
