[Also in Division F2] A vessel comprises a door 1 adapted to be swung into open and closed positions, about a horizontal axis 2 located above the mouth of the vessel, by power-operated means comprising one or more pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders 7 which is, or each of which is, operatively interconnected between a stationary member 9 and means (e.g. radial arm 13, pivot 12) for swinging the door about said horizontal axis in such a manner that the door is swung through half its movement (open or closed) by travel of a ram rod 11 in one direction in said cylinder and for the remainder of said movement by the travel of the ram rod in the opposite direction, a control valve (manual or automatic) being provided to control the admittance of fluid to said cylinder to effect travel of the ram rod in either of its two directions, and one or more counter-balance weights 6 being provided for effecting carry-over movement of the door during .the middle part of its movement.
