A semi-conductor diode array comprises a single row of diodes such as z connected between a pair of closely spaced parallel rectangular busbars Z, S. The housings of the diodes z are mounted as shown on the outer face of the bar Z, and the connection to the bar S, preferably made to the outer face of that bar, may incorporate a fuse s and a flexible lead v. Insulating spacers may separate the bars Z, S, which may contain channels for a coolant. A number of such pairs of bus-bars carrying diodes may be joined in parallel by transverse bars.
