Abstract

1,165,761. Endless conveyers. A. L. DUFOUR. 6 March, 1967 [18 March, 1966; 22 July, 1966], No. 10458/67. Heading B8A. [Also in Division F4] Superposed endless belts in a drying apparatus each comprise link chains 7 disposed each side of the belt and formed of alternately lying horizontal and vertical links, the horizontal ones having projecting lugs 8 for attachment of the belt. Each chain is guided in a frame 9 of cruciform shape secured to the side walls 11 of the drying apparatus by brackets 10. The two chains of each belt pass over and are driven by respective chain pulleys rotated by drive shafts coupled to drive members outside the apparatus, and the inward face of each belt carries U-shaped depending members arranged transversely thereof, which members engage over drive elements disposed parallel to the axis of a skeleton drum assembly which couples together each pair of pulleys.
