Abstract
1,165,747. Photographic flash apparatus. AGFA-GEVAERT A.G. Oct.17, 1966 [Oct.22, 1965], No. 46243/66. Addition to 1,115, 704. Heading G2A. A rotary socket 103 receives a flash-cube 107 for indexing the flash-cube into firing position. The socket 103 is connected to a control disc 111 having ratchet teeth 111a and lugs 111 b. A drive disc 113 has ratchet teeth 113b and lugs 113a which can engage lugs 111b. A coil spring 114 is secured to a disc 115 and the disc 113. When a flash bulb of the cube has been ignited a key (123 Fig. 2 not shown) is depressed to rotate the disc 115 in Fig. 1 through a rack 123a and pinion 116, thereby tensioning spring 114. A stop (123b Fig. 2 not shown) trips latch 119, Fig.1, from engagement with disc 113a, such that the spring 114 overcomes a spring catch 112 and rotates disc 113 and therefore control disc 111 clockwise. The disc 113 is'stopped after 90 degrees rotation by a latch 120 engaging a tooth 111a of disc 111. On release of key (123, Fig.2, not shown) the disc 115, Fig.1, is rotated 90 degrees counter clockwise and the latches (119, 120 Fig. 2 not shown) assume their initial positions of the Figure.
