A copper base alloy for making contact bodies or tips for vacuum electrical switches comprises:- Ag 1 - 8% Fe 0À5 - 2% the balance being copper. The alloy may be used in the as-cast condition and may be age-hardened in the bake-out of the switch at 450‹C.
