Abstract

1,165,221. Spray carburetters. BENDIX CORP. Oct. 10, 1966 [Oct.22, 1965], No.45241/66. Heading F1B. A choke valve 42 is controlled by a U-shaped bi-metallic element 46 having a part-circular portion 54 adapted to contact the exhaust pipe 22. The arm 50 of element 46 is clamped at 62 to a plate 60 and the free arm 48 is connected to a rod 56 actuating the choke control arm 44, the upper end 71 of rod 56 being guided in a slot 70 of plate 60. A rod 74 connects the throttle control lever 72 to lever 44 through a lost-motion connector 78 so that when the throttle valve is in the idling position, the rod 74 opens the choke valve slightly.
