Abstract

116,423. Whittaker, T., and Hope Bros. Sept. 10, 1917. Overcoats; linings; button-holes; ventilating.- A military trench coat a is formed with the usual cloth lining band with two detachable linings c, d, either or both of which can be secured to the coat by buttons e, having long shanks m, and button holes f, cut at an angle of about 45 degrees to the adjacent edge of the coat. The coat is preferably formed of waterproofed cotton. The second lining c is of oiled calico, itself having a waterproofed cotton lining h, and is ventilated by eyeletted holes j and slits k covered by overhanging flaps l over the shoulders. The third lining d is of woollen texture. Each of the detachable linings has sleeves of similar material.
