Abstract

292,299. Le Brocq, L. F. April 12, 1927. Fire-resisting wearing-apparel.-A fire-resisting suit, particularly for airmen, comprises an outer layer of fire-resisting material, such as asbestos, and an inner layer of material impervious to gases, such as rubbered fabric or oiled silk. In some cases, a lining of heating-insulating material may be added, or a separate garment of wool or the like may be worn. In a modification, the outer fire-resisting layer comprises an outer ply of asbestos and an inner, heat-insulating ply of wool felt.
