Abstract

1,163,500. Moulding footwear. DESMAWERKE G.m.b.H. 5 July, 1967 [9 July, 1966], No. 30911/67. Heading B5A. In apparatus for injection moulding or vulcanizing a sole on to a lasted upper, the last 10 is detachably secured to a presser piece 11 by a tilting-preventing connection. As shown, the last 10 has a slidable connection 22, 23 with a journal 27 which is received in a bearing block 28 and held by a clamping strap 29 and screw 30. A spring-loaded catch 25 can be pivoted to release the last by a hand lever 26. The last can be adjusted within limits by pivoting about a domed portion 32. A forward presser part 15 has a replaceable abutment piece 16 bearing on the forward part of the upper and adjustable by a nut 20.
