Abstract
1,162,933. Tube mills. PACEMIN A.G. PATENTVERWERTUNGS-GES. 18 Jan., 1968 [31 Jan., 1967], No. 2660/68. Heading B2A. Two separate milling chambers 9, 10 of a tube mill, are fed via two separators 5, 6. Coarse particles are returned to the chambers, the plant being arranged so that the milling chambers, associated conveyors and separators succeed each other in the path followed by the material through the plant. In operation, material supplied at 1, 2 is carried by elevator conveyors 3, 4 to the cyclones 5, 6, the coarse output at 7, 8 being returned to the chambers 9, 10. The output of the chambers is supplied by crossed-over pipes 11, 12, so that material is ground alternately in one mill chamber or the other. Further embodiments comprise the crossing over of the pipes 13, 14 from the elevators 3, 4, Fig. 2 (not shown) or the crossing over of the coarse outlet pipes 7, 8 of the cyclones 5, 6, Fig. 3 (not shown). Hot gas sweeping may be provided.
