Abstract

1350826 Milling systems; tube mills; impact pulverizers KLOCKNER - HUMBOLDT - DEUTZ AG 4 June 1971 [5 June 1970] 19065/71 Heading B2A A milling system comprises a preliminary impact pulverizer 1 followed by a tube mill 2 for fine grinding, the feed material being initially separated by a hot gas stream blowing across the hammer mill feed inlet, so that only the coarse material is ground in the hammer mill. The finer material is supplied to a grader 6. Coarse particles from the grader 6 are delivered by a screw 21 to the tube mill 2 and the fire particles are separated from the carrier gas in a cyclone 15 and delivered at 16. The initial separation is performed in a grading chamber 10, Fig. 2. Hot gas is supplied via a conduit 8, and the flow is adjusted by louvres 13, 22. The feed material is supplied via a twin flap lock 12. The gas is drawn through the system by a fan 17.
