1,162,255. Toy brick. R. GROEZINGER. 14 Sept., 1966 [11 Oct., 1965], No. 40979/66. Heading A6S. An interlocking toy brick comprises a top 4 and four walls 2, 3 and has at least two rows of uniformly spaced connecting elements, wherein each element comprises a socket 1 of the same depth as the walls 2, 3 depending from the upper or lower side of the top 4 and a pin 5 concentric to the socket 1 respectively depending and projecting below the walls, or projecting from the upper side of the top, the inner surface of each peripheral socket being tangential to the inner surface of at least one wall of the brick. The distance between the inner surface of the socket and the outer surface of the wall is defined as the wall thickness and the spacing between the inner surfaces of adjacent. sockets is at least twice the wall thickness. The internal cross-section of the sockets is the same as the external crosssection of the pins. Preferably, the peripheral pins are flush with the inner edges of the outer wall. When more than two rows of sockets are provided, the sockets not adjacent to the outer wall may be interconnected by a bracing wall extending in the cavity of the brick. The pins are preferably formed integrally with the sockets and have the form of a hollow body, closed at the end, which has a smaller hollow formed therein than the socket connected therewith.
