Abstract

1276544 Building blocks A W HOWE 20 June 1969 [20 June 1968] 31352/69 Heading A6S Interconnectable toy building blocks having connecting pins and connecting openings are shown in Figs. 1, 2, 6 and 7. The connecting blocks shown in Figs. 1 and 2 comprise bodies 1, with connecting pins 2 which have a transversely extending coupling bore 3 which serves to receive a coupling pin. The coupling blocks shown in Figs. 6 and 7 have a lateral cavity 4 shaped to receive a connecting pin 2. The cavity contains a coupling pin 7 which is received in the coupling bore 3. The coupling and connecting blocks may be provided in the same way as standard building blocks with grooves 19 for the insertion of flat frame or plate elements. The blocks shown in Figs. 1 and 2 may be of any desired shape and may contain more than one connecting pin. Similary they may also contain connecting openings containing coupling pins as in Fig. 2.
